The ample room available in the cabin and luggage space is a major feature of ŠKODA cars. The RAPID is no exception, and is able to carry up to five people with ease. With interior width of 1,428 mm and plenty of legroom on the rear seats, the car allows four adults to travel in comfort even on long journeys. The 550-litre luggage compartment volume can be expanded to an incredible 1,490 litres with the rear seatbacks folded down.

Family-sized boot

The estate-like large tailgate permits optimum loading of the boot. The luggage area offers a volume of 550 litres, which can be increased to 1,490 litres by folding down the rear backrests. Many Simply Clever features make the boot much more pleasant to use every day. Just to mention a few of them: hooks, nets or a parcel shelf storage point behind rear backrest.

Generous spatial concept

All the seats in the RAPID are pleasantly firm. The front seats have exaggerated side bolstering to provide the driver and passenger with ample lateral support while cornering. The outer rear seats are also distinctly anatomically moulded for maximum comfort. If necessary, enough space can be found in the back for three people.

Designed to meet your individual taste

To make you feel as home as possible, you can choose the colour scheme of the dashboard. The upper part is always matte black to limit its reflection in the front glass, while the lower part can be beige or black. From the Ambition trim level up, Light Brushed, Dark Brushed and Piano Black decorative strips are available.

Business class travel for economy price

The ŠKODA RAPID impresses with lots of room for the entire family. Optimal utilization of the interior space is made possible, among other things, by the vehicle’s long wheelbase of over 2.60 metres. The rear passengers therefore enjoy the best knee room (65 millimetres) and the best head room (972 millimetres) in this class.

Its spatial concept is ingeniously complemented with a lot of storage places like pockets on front backrests, bottle holders in doors or easy-to-reach cup holder between rear seats.

Simply Clever storages

ŠKODA’s family compact is a “Simply Clever” car through and through. The RAPID provides many places for storing various sundry items. The centre console is equipped with two cup holders, which can also be used for storing smaller items. Practical pockets in the front doors can hold 1.5-litre bottles. Depending on the trim level, the interior can be equipped with a sunglasses holder in the overhead console or with an arm rest between the front seats as standard or as an option. The rear passengers can use door pockets, able to hold 0.5-litre bottles. In the luggage compartment, there are boxes behind the wheel wells, hooks and other useful features.

Boot

The luggage area offers a volume of 550 litres, which can be increased to 1,490 litres by folding down the rear seats backrests. The boot has a handle for easier closing on the right-hand interior side. There is additional storage space under the boot’s floor which can be used for storing a spare tyre. The everyday use of the boot can be enhanced with our additional boot package which includes bag hooks, storage boxes behind the rear wheel arches and a net system with securing hooks. It goes without saying that the boot includes a parcel shelf, fastening elements and lighting.

Dimensions

Lots of room for the entire family and plenty of space for their luggage in a compact body – these are virtues of the ŠKODA RAPID. While the rear passengers enjoy the best knee room (65 mm) and the best head room (972 mm) in this class, the boot of the RAPID also boasts ample capacity of 550 litres. With the rear seats backrests folded down, the maximum boot volume increases to 1,490 litres.
